The rear end of the guide rod rests on the takedown lever (or pin). This requires the guide rod to protrude at the muzzle by about 3/16" or the difference between flat up and flat forward. UNCLICKABLE Discussion starter. 1) On some P365 models the MS lever can be engaged when the gun is not charged, sometimes. On others, only when it's charged. 2) Sig made some changes to the FCU couple of years back and new models apparently only allow the MS lever to be engaged only when gun is charged.. The P365X has the same grip frame as the XL, so yes. The 12 round extended mags from the standard P365 can work but you need to change out the magazine base pad. With the cost of 9mm these days, I would buy a P365 chambered in 22LR for some cost effective, realistic training. The gun would need to weigh the same as a 9mm P365 and have the same trigger pull. I'm not sure if a 22LR would have enough recoil to cycle the slide.Slide a new cartridge base up the face of the breech and under the extractor claw. It should move smoothly with a bit more pressure as it slides under the extractor claw. The claw should hold the cartridge in place for light shaking.
