This is my first trailer with brakes, and my understanding is the reverse light pin on the wiring harness stops the brakes from compressing when in reverse, but when pulling the wiring for launching, the coupler latch pin is to be moved to the lock position to stop it from compressing.Anyways here is what I did and I feel it turned out nicely.
